Squad 44 Code of Conduct

Here at Offworld, we strive to provide games and community spaces focused around teamwork, cooperation, and communication. To uphold these standards, community members are expected to follow a code of conduct so that everyone has a fun and rewarding experience.

Below, you will find our Code of Conduct, which everyone who interacts with Squad 44 and related community spaces is expected to follow. You will be held to this Code of Conduct regardless of whether or not you read it, so please familiarize yourself with it and help continue to create welcoming and positive experiences.

In all cases, it is the spirit of the rule that is more important than the letter. Our intention when enforcing the code of conduct is to protect the best interests of the Squad 44 community and the playing environment.

The Basics

  • No racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, anti-semitism, or any behaviour deemed egregious or offensive.
  • No harassing or discriminating behaviour against other players
  • Do not use text or voice channels in-game or on community channels to spam, troll, or bait other players.
  • Do not publish media depicting NSFW (not safe for work) content or real-life violence of any kind.
  • Do not use, publish, or share exploits or hacks.
  • Do not publish illegal content or participate in illegal activities such as but not exclusive to phishing, swatting, or doxxing.
  • Do not attempt to evade game or community channel bans by using alternate accounts.
  • Brigading (https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/brigading/), or any talk or action that appears to be brigading, is not allowed.

This list is not exhaustive, and moderators, admins and Community Managers maintain the right to moderate as they see fit.

Be Kind and Hold Others Accountable

All players are expected to be respectful towards one another. Squad 44 can be a difficult game to master, so try to be helpful and kind to others. Gatekeeping is not helpful for building the community and should be avoided. Lead by example and encourage others to do the same.

If met with toxicity, do not engage. Instead, inform a server admin, moderator or community manager. Someone being disrespectful towards you is not an invitation to act the same way back.

Provide Constructive Criticism

We freely acknowledge that there will be times when your experience with game performance or balance will be different to your expectations. As such, it is not only acceptable but encouraged for you to provide feedback on areas of the Squad 44 game or live services when it does not meet your anticipated standards. In order for your concerns to be acted on most effectively, we require that your comments remain constructive at all times. “This sucks” tells us nothing about the problem or what you believe would remedy it.

We cannot guarantee that it is possible to immediately rectify problems that occur, but we are committed to doing so as quickly as possible. This goal will be significantly aided with your help in reporting issues in a constructive fashion – the more thorough and accurate your reporting of anything that comes up, the better we’ll be able to act on that feedback.

Keep the Spirit of the Game

Squad 44 is a game, and the end goal is to have fun. To make sure the community can enjoy our game, please keep in mind that every server runs with its own set of rules. Make sure to familiarise yourself with them when you join to ensure a fun, co-operative game experience. Server admins reserve the right to kick/ban players who are not following their rules.

Play fair and play nice. Toxic behaviour, cheating, hacking, harassment, etc is not allowed. If you accidentally teamkill someone, apologize.

We take reports of Code of Conduct violations seriously and will take action against confirmed breaches of the above policies. These actions can range from warnings to temporary or permanent bans from Squad 44 and its official community channels.

Evading a ban/suspension or assisting another player currently under a ban/suspension is grounds for disciplinary measures.

If you wish to appeal a ban you may email: support@joinsquad44.com

If you require game support, check out our Support website here: http://support.joinsquad44.com/

Offworld reserves the right to remove any user from all communication channels or the game at any time without notice. It is the user’s responsibility to check for DMs or messages, as we treat all warnings/moderation actions as if the recipient received them.
